1,222,955. Polyamide compositions. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 15 May, 1968 [14 June, 1967], No. 27481/67. Heading C3R. [Also in Division C1] A polyamide composition comprises a synthetic linear polyamide and a TiO 2 pigment coated with an Sb compound and with an Mn compound. The TiO 2 may be coated with 0À1-5% by wt. Sb calculated as Sb 2 O 3 , and with 0À05-2% by wt. Mn calculated as MnO. It may also be coated with Al and Si compounds. The composition may contain 0À01- 5% by wt. of the coated pigment. In the example, hexamethylene diamine adipate was polymerized with a TiO 2 pigment coated with Sb 2 O 3 and Al and Mn hydroxides.
