Abstract

1294322 Hydroxyphenyltriazine metal complexes IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 3 Feb 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 8170/69 Heading C4P Ni, Co, Zn, Cd or Cu complexes of wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are each H, Cl, Br, C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy are prepared by reacting a solution of the metal salt or mixtures thereof with a compound of Formula (I). Preferably metal salts of weak acids are used, e.g. acetates. The complexes wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are other than H are claimed per se. The complexes give yellow shades in paints and storing finishes of synthetic polymers.
