Abstract

1,222,861. Load handling pallets. RUBERY, OWEN & CO. Ltd. 8 April, 1969 [2 April, 1968], No. 15899/68. Headings B8H and B8P. An adjustable box pallet comprises a rectangular base frame with upstanding channel section corner posts 10 each to receive a foldable leg member having a lower section 14 pivoted at 15 to the post 10 and an upper section 16 pivoted at 17 to the lower section and at 18 to a gusset 19 secured to an upper corner casting 20. The upper and lower sections 14, 16 and the lower sections 14 and the corner posts 10 have, in the erected position, respective aligned apertures 23, 24, 26, 27 to receive locking pins 22, 25. In a lowered position the pins 22, 25 are removed and the upper and lower sections folded inwardly until the corner castings 20 rest on the upper end of the posts 10 wherein holes 27, 28 are aligned to receive the pins 25. The upper corner castings may be interconnected across the ends of the pallet by beams 21 and likewise the posts 10 by members 13. A panel 29 may be fixed to the ends of the pallet below the member 13.
