Abstract

1,222,065. Hydraulic accumulators. HYDROTROLE Ltd. Oct.18, 1968 [Oct.18, 1967], No.47355/67. Heading F1P. A resilient elongated tubular bladder 12 for an hydraulic accumulator has at least two integral longitudinally extending reinforcing ribs 14 which terminate in a curved end portion and an open mouth of substantially the same cross-sectioned area at the central body portion of the bladder. In the embodiment shown the ribs are formed as sections of greater thickness than the main bladder material 18, and weakened sections are provided therebetween, the weakened sections having a width equal to half the rib width. In Figs. 4-8 (not shown) the bladder is of circular or eliptical cross-section when expanded, the ribs being equally spaced and projecting radially inwards.
