Abstract

1,220,513. Blow-moulding; nick-forming- KUREHA KAGAKU KOGYO K.K. 7 May, 1968 [24 May, 1967], No. 21631/68. Heading B5A. In a blow-moulding process for production of articles having a constriction, e.g. a neck portion, having at least one transverse dimension less than the parison diameter, the parison is laterally deformed in the region of the constriction to lie within the constricted area without pinching of the parison between the mould halves. As shown in Fig. 3, a guide member 5 is fixed at the top of mould half 1 and a cooperating guide 6 at the top of mould half 2, the guide members serving to deform the parison on closing of the mould halves about the parison.
