A sliding door sill comprises a base plate 3, a cover plate 9 upon the plate 3 and spaced therefrom by ribs 11 on the cover, or may be on the base plate, or on both plates, at least two door rails 13 secured to or integral with the coverplate and drain holes 16, 17, 18 in the cover plate between the rails or between the rails and flanges 4 or 5 and drainage ways formed by lights in the ribs 11, staggered with respect to each other along the width of the door, the plates being fastened together by snap fitting interengageable formations 8, 12 on the respective plates.
