A turbine fuel, particularly of the kerosene type, contains an alkyl (preferably methyl) cyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl to reduce smoke and solid deposit formation. A minimum of 0.008 vol. per cent, preferably 0À02-0À1 vol. per cent, of the additive is used.
