Abstract

[Also in Division F4] In a ship having a double bottom and intended for alternate transport of liquid and dry cargo a through flow heating assembly is arranged beneath the double bottom 1 of the cargo hold, the through flow heating assembly comprising a circulation pump 9 and heat exchangers 3, 6, the pump 9 drawing from opening 5 located at the lowest part of the hold and distributing through opening 2 cargo heated by the exchangers. One embodiment shown is provided with two independent through flow assemblies for one and the same cargo hold. Another embodiment has two circulation circuits operated by a common pump.
