Abstract

1,217,937. Agricultural implements. J. C. GREGORY. 27 Aug., 1969 [6 July, 1968], No. 32365/68. Headings A1B and A1E. Apparatus arranged to be towed behind a tractor along a row of plants 2 to remove soil or weeds from between successive plants, comprises a wheeled support or chassis, a rotary brush 3 having bristles 4 of sufficient length to brush to one side the soil or weeds, the brush shaft 14 being releasably connected to the power take-off unit of the tractor. Discs 1 initially displace soil from either side of the rows of plants. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the discs 1 and seat 9 are omitted.
