Abstract

1,217,300. Optical apparatus. OLYMPUS OPTICAL CO. Ltd. Feb.27, 1968, No.36859/70. Divided out of 1,215,383. Heading G2J. [Also in Division A5] The microscope of the apparatus of Specification 1,215,383 is removable and is insertable through a guide tube 38 which extends within an outer tube 31 so that the forward end of the microscope projects from the forward end of the outer tube. Within the outer tube is provided a fibre optical illuminating device 34, and a further viewing system consisting of objective lens 32 and a fibre optical bundle 33. A pipe extends through the apparatus to supply dyeing or colouring agents to the object being investigated. In place of the slidable microscope sample gathering devices such as forceps can be used.
