1,216,255. Polyethylene compositions. BP CHEMICALS (U.K.) Ltd. 29 Aug., 1969 [26 Sept., 1968], No. 45777/68. Heading C3P. Compositions comprise by weight 95 to 99À9 per cent of a "solution" polyethylene of density at least 0À940 g./cc. and 5 to 0À1 per cent of a "particle" polyethylene of density at least 0À930 g./cc. The polymers may contain up to 5 mole per cent of other α-olefins, particularly C 3-8 α-olefins. The compositions may be prepared by solid or melt blending, and may be moulded to form shaped articles.
