Abstract

1,215,958. Telephone subsets. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 4 June, 1968, No. 26460/68. Heading H4J. The handset 10 of a telephone instrument is supported on its stand 20 when not in use by a recess 24 located in a top edge of the stand and adapted to engage the mouthpiece 12, and a hook-switch 25 which engages the handle 13 of the handset adjacent the earpiece 11, the earpiece extending into a recess 23 in the top face of the stand. As shown the moulded stand has a guide bar 27 which may be a switch for additional signalling, and push-button 26 for voicefrequency dialling are included.
