973,480. Radio receiver construction. J. T. C. HEZARD. Feb. 20, 1963 [Oct. 25, 1962], No. 6905/63. Heading H3Q. A transistor radio receiver is incorporated into the casing 2 of a telephone set, the arrangement being such that lifting the handset operates an on/off switch 7. The telephone dial 5 is used for tuning and the earpiece 3 is used as a loud-speaker. A further loud-speaker may be incorporated in the casing of the set or at the other end of the handset. The unit may incorporate a switch to allow it to be used as a telephone or radio receiver.
