Abstract

1,215,122. Valves. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. 9 Jan., 1969 [11 Jan., 1968], No. 1431/69. Heading F2V. A drum 32 rotated by the plunger 20 of an electromagnet 18 has an off-centre shaft 42 co-operating with an aperture 44 of a valve rod 12 to open the valve each time the electromagnet is energized, the valve being closed by a return spring 36. In the preferred embodiment, two springs 36 are connected by metal bands 30 to the drum and the plunger which is suspended on a further pair of inclined springs 22. The shaft 42 extends across a transverse slot in the drum 32 which is hollow. An apertured casing 50 surrounds the electromagnet.
