Abstract

1,215,057. Stirrer. LAMINATED PLASTIC PRODUCTS Ltd. 16 April, 1969 [22 May, 1968], No. 24346/68. Addition to 1,166,447. Heading B1C. A stirrer comprises a shaft 1 provided with a cylindrical boss 2 having grooves 3 open at one end and closed at the other end, an impeller 4 having a hub 5 which fits over the boss, the hub being provided with grooves 8 which register with the grooves on the boss but which are open and closed at opposite ends to those grooves, and cylindrical keys which fit in the grooves to couple the impeller to the shaft. The impeller and keys may be made of laminated plastics materials and the shaft may be made of steel covered by such materials.
