Abstract

1,214,870. Television. ELTRO, G.m.b.H. & CO. 14 May, 1968 [26 Oct., 1967], No. 22943/68. Heading H4F. An optoelectronic method for recording in heat diagram form the temperature distribution of land in which an infrared linesc@n system is used in an aircraft, utilizes apparatus comprising a rotary scanning mirror system 2 receiving heat radiation through windows 1, 11. The mirror system 2 has four reflecting sides and is rotated about an axis perpendicular to the plane of Fig. 2, by an electric motor 8, the radiation being directed by mirrors 3, 4, 5 and 13, 14, 15 to an IR lens 6 and thence to a row 9 of optoelectronic receiver elements. The row 9 of receiver elements is parallel to the axis cf rotation of the mirror system 2, each receiver element being individually connected by a lead 19 and an amplifying device to a corresponding one of a number of luminescent diodes 21. The visible radiation from the diodes 21 is deflected by mirrors 26, 36 and then directed by mirror extensions 25, 24, 23 and 35, 34, 33 on to a double sided mirror 12 mounted for rotation with the mirror system 2. The light from the mirror 12 is transmitted to a photographic film cassette 10 by a glass fibre lens 7 forming an arcuate shell 17 at one end and a flat surface 27 at the other end disposed in front of a lens 20.
