Abstract

1,213,978. Valves. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. 19 Dec., 1967 [22 Dec., 1966], No. 57343/66. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F4] The discharge valve 12, Fig. 1, of a compressed gas storage cylinder 10 is protected against ingress of moisture when not in use by a resilient cover 17 which fits snugly over the cylinder neck 11 and is bent back as shown in Fig. 3 to expose the valve outlet 14 and allow fitting thereon of a flow regulator 28; the cover then being returned by its inherent resilience. A protecting baffle 24 projects downwardly from the upper closed end 19 of the cover and has a central incision (25), Fig. 2 (not shown). The valve operating spindle 13 projects through an opening 23 in the side of the cover and perforations 27 allow egress of accumulated water.
