Abstract

1,213,036. Building brick. VEREINIGTE SUDTHURINGER SPIELWARENWERKE EISFELD VEB. 17 May, 1968, No. 23719/68. Heading A6S. A building brick comprises a generally rectanglar shape, with two parallel spaced webs 3 extending from each of two opposite sides thereof, each web on one side being coplanar with a web on the other, a wing 4 on each of a further two sides, the wings 4 being coplanar and perpendicular to webs 3, a cruciform projection 5 perpendicular to both webs 3 and wings 4, and a recess of complementary shape to the projection, in the opposite side of the member, the thickness of the webs and the wings and the thickness of the arms of the projection being equal to one another and to the spacing between each pair of parallel webs 3. The webs 3 may have a central transverse slot 9, of width equal to the thickness of the webs and wings, and the webs and/or wings may have holes 7, to receive pins, which may lock the bricks together. Similarly, there may be provided and axial bore 8 through the centre of cruciform projection 5 and recess. Circular cross-section pins may be provided, either single pins, or double, see Fig. 5. Cruciform pins, Fig. 6, may also be provided, to fit the cruciform recess.
