Abstract

1,212,662. Linear motion potentiometers. STACKPOLE COMPONENTS CO. 7 Jan., 1969 [8 Feb., 1968], No. 886/69. Heading H1S. Two parallel resistance elements 8 are carried on an insulating base 2, with adjacent collector members 21, two contacts, each with fingers 25, 24 respectively wiping one resistance element and the associated collector member, being carried by a single longitudinally movable slide (not shown). The resistance elements may be formed on a separate insulating strip 9, which is correctly orientated by differently sized notches fitting bosses 18, 19 on the base. The insulating strip may be clamped to the base by the resilient portions 14 of the terminals 11, which project through the base for electrical connection. The base may have a cover which carries the contact slide.
