Abstract

1,212,216. Laminated stencil. KONTOR KEMI A.S. 19 Dec., 1967 [22 Dec., 1966], No. 57634/67, Heading B5N. [Also in Division B6] A stencil blank of the type adapted to be perforated by electric sparks comprises a moderately porous electrically conductive paper stencil sheet which is secured to a backing sheet at both ends only. Both sheets may be of paper and the top face of the stencil sheet is coated with an electrically conductive plastics layer. A further layer of electrically conductive material is provided between the two sheets and may be located on the backing sheet. The stencil sheet may be secured by adhesive to the backing sheet on either the front or rear face of the backing sheet according to the length of the stencil sheet. A transverse perforation line may be provided through both the stencil sheet and the backing sheet adjacent one attachment zone. In assembly, at least one end of the backing sheet is bent while both ends of the stencil sheet are attached so that on release the stencil sheet is flattened against the backing sheet.
