A textile tube comprises a tubular body part 1, an inwardly projecting lip 2 at one end of the body part, a seating 10 extending radially inwardly of the lip within the body part 1, and abutment means extending inwardly from the lip and defining holding cams 5 to locate an indicator disc 6 supported on the seating, at least one aperture 7 being provided in the lip 2 for the engagement of a finger upon taking hold of the tube by hand. The seating 10 is disposed at a distance from the end of the tube to provide a space for the engagement of a holding cone of a holding plate for the tube. The seating may be provided with a central aperture 9 for the engagement of a finger when an annular indicator disc 6 is employed. In a preferred embodiment, the distance between the holding cams 5 and the seating 10 is a multiple of the thickness of the indicator disc 6. Three apertures 7 may be provided, the cams 5 being provided on the bridging pieces between the apertures. The tube is preferably moulded in one piece from a synthetic plastics material.
