Abstract

121,193. Schub, C. H. Dec. 7, 1917. Casting and moulding in situ.-Interchangeable flanged mould plates are secured together by bolts and tubular spacing-members for casting the foundations, walls, and floors of concrete buildings. The foundation mould consists of channel members 20, Fig. 13, mitered at the corners, connected end to end by fish-plates 25, and spaced by bolts 30 in tubes 28, and washer clamps 31. The wall mould plates 34, Fig. 2, of metal, wood, &c. and with rounded or bevelled corners, are clamped by tie-bolts 30, Fig. 9, in tubes, and clamps 36 slotted to receive the flanges 35. Corner moulds are clamped by an angle-iron, 40, Fig. 7, clamps 36, and a yoke 41 or curved bolt 42. Flanges 44 are provided on the corner mould units and carry an adjustable angle flange. The wall moulds are secured by clamps 45, Fig. 16, having a tapering slot between a pair of cam-lips 46 which embrace two abutting flanges 35, and a pin 47 which is inserted in slots in the flanges. External ties or braces 69, Fig. 1, are secured by split rings to the mould clamps 36. The floor moulds are supported by beams 50, 51, Fig. 6, secured together by angle clamps 64 and by clamps 62 to telescopic standards 52, Fig. 3, the inner tube 53 of which is locked to the outer tube by a clamp 55 or by cross-pins. The foot of the standard consists of a screw-jack 60. The standards are further stayed by tripods' 63. The joints of the floor moulds occur over the beams 50, and the marginal edges are supported on the inner wall mould by the tubular spacing-members and bolts described above.
