A cabinet body is provided on the underside of its top 2 with guide rails 6-11 disposed between top corner guide rails 4, 5 and includes further guide rails 12, 13 on its sides 3a, 3b, selected pairs of rails serving to support one or two tiers of drawers, e.g. 14-16 or 17-19, provided in two alternative heights and four alternative widths. Each drawer, e.g. 14, is supported at its upper side edges by and between two spread rails, e.g. 4 and 6. The rails may, as in Fig. 1, be integrally moulded with the cabinet body. Alternatively (Fig. 2) the top rails (20) may be defined by inturned flanges of channel members (21) welded to a sheet metal cabinet body. The drawers have top edge ledges 27, Fig. 4, to locate an outwardly extending base edge 26 of a superposed drawer when the drawers are removed from the cabinet and stacked. Alternatively (Fig. 8) stacked drawers have interengaging guide rails (45, 46). In an alternative use, when the drawers are removed, the cabinet body is inverted as in Fig. 7 and partitions 38 are fitted on the rails. A front ledge 39 prevents articles from falling from the open front of the cabinet.
