Abstract

Stationary batchmixers with reciprocating stirrers.-Relates to churns of the type provided with a detachable cover or lid having one or more circular or concentric rings formed on its underside. According to the invention, the outer or inner faces, or both, of the concentric rings F are faced with rubber or resilient material to allow the cover D to adapt itself to any irregularities in the mouth of the churn. The cover is adapted to fit churns of different sizes. The usual recess E is provided in the top of the cover to allow any milk or cream splashed up during churning to drain back to the churn.
