Abstract

1,210,481. Shaping stator coils. ELEKTROMAT VEB. 3 Jan., 1969, No. 505/69. Heading B3A. Apparatus for shaping the coil ends of dynamo-electric machine stators provided with thrust caps 23, which shape the coil ends axially, and members 48, 15, which shape the coil ends radially, is characterized by the members 8, 15 being concentrically arranged internally and externally of the coil ends. A plate 20 is driven downwardly by a ram (not shown) and pistons 21, 22 pressurize a fluid medium in cylinders 6, 13, of which there are three of each equiangularly disposed about the stator axis. The apparatus is located on the stator 1 by an annular projection 24 on its outer casing 2. After the coil ends have been shaped, the members 8 are withdrawn by springs (9), Fig. 2 (not shown) and the members 15 by an annular rubber band 16.
