Abstract

1,209,334. Pigment print pastes. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 14 March, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 13522/69. Heading D1B. Polydimethylsiloxanes of viscosity 200- 20,000 cs, are incorporated as 0.1-2% by weight into pigment print pastes which may contain film-forming high molecular weight substances as binder. The polydimethylsiloxanes have trimethylsilyl and/or dimethylhydroxysilyl end groups and are free of polymethyl hydrogen siloxane. In Examples emulsion print pastes of phthalocyanine pigments are applied to cotton and polyester materials which are dried and heated to fix the binder. The handle of the printed fabric is improved as tackiness is reduced.
