Abstract
1,207,662. Racket frames. CARLTON SPORTS CO. Ltd. 7 Dec., 1967 [17 Dec., 1966], No. 56581/66. Heading A6D. A racket frame comprises a looped member 1 (Fig. 1) formed from a metal tube within which stringing can be carried out, a shaft 2 and a throat 3 connecting the looped member 1 to the shaft 2, the wall thickness of the metal tube being greater in a part of the looped member which extends from the throat to a distance of up to 8 centimetres on both sides thereof then elsewhere in the looped member. The difference in thickness between the two parts of the looped member may be of the order of two thousandths of an inch. The racket frame may be used for badminton, tennis or squash rackets.
