Abstract

1,206,619. Pipe brackets. R. L. SCARELLA. 23 Nov., 1967 [23 Nov., 1966], No. 53293/67. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E2] A supporting fastener for pipes or for electric conduits comprises an arcuate cradle 2 made of resilient material having the shape of a sector of a cylinder and the arcuate extent of which is slightly greater than that of a semi circle, the cradle having an inner diameter slightly less than the outer diameter of the pipe or conduit to be fastened whereby the pipe or conduit may be resiliently gripped, the cradle being provided with a boss having a threaded bore 6 extending radially of the cradle extending from a support 8. The fastener can be provided with a clasp having a portion of part annular shape complementary to that of the cradle, the said portion being provided along each edge with an extension 11a adapted when assembled slidably to the fastener to engage the corresponding edge portion of the cradle. As shown the fastener is attached to a support 8 by means of a member having a threaded shank and the head of which is screw threaded to engage the boss. A dished member 9 is provided between the boss and the support.
