120,487. Speak, L., and Shields, G. E. Jan. 14, 1918. Tool-holders.-A holder for turning, boring, &c. tools has a shank a, preferably of square section and a cranked head a<2> to which is pivoted a boxholder proper made in two parts b, c. The part c is made in one with the screwed stem c<1> by which the holder is secured to the shank. In both parts b, c are circular holes e, f, to receive tools of circular section, and in the part c is a rectangular hole, and in the part b rectangular notches to receive rectangular tools. The tool can be secured at any angle by the nut h which is bored at h<2> to take a tommy and the holder can be locked positively, if desired, by a pin n, Fig. 1, passing through the head a<2> into one of a number of recesses in the part b-
