Abstract

A domestic bathroom heating panel 2 is made of a heat-conducting material such as aluminium or steel sheet and is covered on its front face with a bonded-on plastic film, the panel having on its rear face a tubular heat transfer element 3 through which flows hot water or other heating fluid, whereby, by conduction from the element 3, the panel radiates heat to the bathroom. The element 3 is secured in mechanical contact with the panel and is formed with flat surfaces, e.g. lugs 9 to increase the contact area. L-shaped brackets 8 secure the panel to the floor and the bracket uprights have vertically spaced sets of holes therein whereby the panel position may be adjusted vertically in relation to the floor. The panel shown, which is intended for covering-in the side of a domestic bath, has a return 10 on its upper edge for rigidity and is produced with length and height dimensions larger than normally required so that it may be cut to size in situ. The heat transfer element 3 has an air vent valve 6 and the panel may incorporate a hinged hatch for access thereto and to the space beneath the bath.
