Abstract
1,204,741. Paddle dyeing machines. SAMUEL PEGG & SON Ltd. 27 Nov., 1968 [5 Jan., 1968], No. 757/68. Heading D1L. An assembly of open-top bath 3, paddle 5 and casing end wall 4 is provided with a retractable casing portion 2 which together with end wall 4 forms a complete pressure tight casing. The casing portion 2 has wheels 13 guided by rails 14, and the bath 3 has rollers 16 which run along ribs (15, Fig. 2) inside the casing. The bath is supported By jacks 11 bearing on the rails 12 when the casing is withdrawn. The dye liquor is recirculated to the bath via an apertured hollow rim (19) after passing through a heat exchanger and impeller. The arrangement of retractable casing portion and dye recirculation means is the same as in Specification 1,155,288.
