[Also in Division G5] A rectangular frame for a pair of boards, mirrors, photographs or signs, comprises four elongated members 10, 11, 12, 13 of cross-section shown in Fig. 12A, the two vertical members 11, 13 being connected to the lower horizontal member 12 by gusset members 19 having arms (20, 21) of I section which engage in undercut slots 16 in the frame members, and the two vertical members 11, 13 being connected to the upper horizontal member 10 by a right angled plastics member (25) which fits into tunnels in the frame members between the two slots 15 which receive the edges of the two boards. A bracing member 18 may be secured by further gusset members 19. A further slot (29, Fig. 12c) outside each slot 15 may be provided to hold a glass sheet. At least one of the elongated members is shaped to carry a light source to illuminate the two signs from the rear. A plurality of frames may be suspended by cords 27 which pass through holes 24 in the gusset members 19. A single frame may be supported by rods extending from brackets (Fig. 6) secured to the ceiling or by a single bent rod resting on a table (Fig. 2) the rod or rods being attached to the frame by a holder 30, Fig. 21, having a base of I section which fits into the undercut slot 16 of each frame. The holder 30 has a tubular part 35 into which a rod can be inserted and a hole 36 into which a foot (38, Fig. 17), having a socket for a rod, can be fitted. The frame may be divided into portions by dividing members (47, Fig. 3) which have T-shaped ends (49) adapted to engage the frame members. The frame members are made of extruded P.V.C. or aluminium. The dividing members are made of hard polythene. The corner pieces 19 are moulded from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer or pressure die-cast using metal.
