Abstract

1,203,717. Gripper axminster looms. MONSANTO TEXTILES Ltd. 19 May, 1969 [10 June, 1968], No. 27519/68. Heading D1E. A yarn carrier 10 has yarn tubes which comprise a plate 1 with a circular bore 2 for the yarn and, projecting therefrom, side plates 3 which guide the yarn. The side plates 3 may have tabs 9 which tension the yarn and the ends 6, 7 may be bent to facilitate the entry of the grippers. The bending may be offset for use with grippers having only one movable jaw.
