Abstract

1,203,501. Cosmetics cases. CLAIROL Inc. 21 May, 1968 [22 May, 1967 (2)], No. 24258/68. Heading B8P. A cosmetic kit 10 comprises several shallow, open-topped, pivotally interconnected, moulded plastics trays 12, 14, 16 each of which can rotate into and out of a stacked position about a ball headed post 46, and (26), Fig. 3 (not shown), parallel to the sides of the trays. A lid 40 holding a mirror 58 is mounted on the ball head 46 for movement parallel to and into a position perpendicular to the plane of the trays 12, 14, 16. The lid 40 and trays 12, 14, 16 are held in position when closed by ribs 32, 34, 54 and sockets on overlying protuberances 36, 38, 56. The trays 12, 14, 16 contain divider ribs 70 or filler plates 60, 64 which hold the cosmetics 62, 66 and applicators 74, 76. The applicators 74, 76, 78 are attached to the trays 12, 14 by a loop and hook fabric coupling.
