[Also in Division H3] A switching matrix for video signals uses at each crosspoint a gating circuit which comprises first and second amplifiers 108, 110 differentially arranged, the first receiving the input signal and supplying the output terminal through a further amplifier 118, feedback from the further amplifier to the other input to increase the amplifier input impedance and decrease the circuit output impedance and a further amplifier device 124 providing a constant current to the differential amplifiers and switchable to on and off states so as to switch the gate. A diode 158 may increase the attenuation of the gate when off and capacitors 112 and 120 improve the frequency response.
