Moulds.-Moulds for casting clay-ware from slip are provided with hollow walls through which heated air or other drying-medium is circulated to expedite the casting-operation. As shown, the mould a, which is applied to the casting of glasshouse pots, is provided with hollow walls b and a hollow cover h having inlets c and outlets d for the heated air &c. The core e may be hollow and provided with an inlet f and outlet g. The air is heated by a furnace or by electric heating-coils. embedded in the walls of the mould. Preferably the inner wall portions are porous and the outer portions non-porous.
