Abstract

1,202,345. Spray printing. TEXTILMASCHINENBAU ZITTAU VEB. 9 May, 1969, No. 23738/69. Heading B6C. The spraying head 2 of a spray printing machine for colour patterning a moving textile web 1 is provided with a row of individual dye-jet nozzles 3 associated with respective deflectors 4 which are held resiliently in a first position, as shown, where they deflect the dyejets away from the web 1, each deflector 4 being movable by a cord 6 into a second position where the jets are free to impinge on to the web 1; to effect this movement the cord is acted upon by a cord loop 7 which is attached to the armature 8 of an electromagnet 9. Each cord 6 passes around a rod 13 and is tensioned by a weight 12; the several cords 6, after they have been uniformly tensioned, can be clamped fast to the rod 13 by means of a bar 14.
