Abstract

Garages.-An automobile garage is constructed in several storeys, doorways to the stands being arranged in the front wall, which doorways are reached by means of elevating and conveying devices. A combined elevator and conveyer 18 running on rails 17, 23 in front of the garage may be used, or elevators 3, Fig. 3, may be arranged at the end of the building to lift the automobiles to the different storeys of a multi-storey conveyer 5 or to fixed galleries 6 along which they may be moved by their own power or on trucks. The floor of the elevator cage 7, Fig. 6, and of the galleries 6, or of the trucks thereon, may comprise conveyer bands 12, 13 which may be installed when it is desirable to move the automobiles side-ways in transferring them to their stands.
