Abstract

1,199,812. Feeding a length of biscuits. SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIE-GESELLSCHAFT. 27 June, 1968 [28 June, 1967] No. 30656/68. Headings B8A and B8S. The discharge of a given length of biscuits 2 down shoot 5 (Figs. 1, 2) is controlled by three arms 11, and by one arm 8. Each arm 11 is adapted to engage the sides of the biscuits at 20, is carried by arm 12 rotatably operated by rod 23, and is resiliently mounted at 16. Arm 8 pivots to and fro operated by arm 10. Additionally, two stops 31 are provided which are adapted to move down the shoot 5. Operation.-Arm 8 operates to squeeze the biscuits 2 against the side of the shoot, thus making available an excess length of biscuits therebelow. Stops 31 then move downwards along the shoot, followed by the biscuits. In this position arms 21 then operate to contact and hold edgewise the upper part of the bisbuits, so exposing the required length of the biscuits therebelow. Discharge of biscuits (Fig. 8). This required length of biscuits is then gripped by device 36 by means of its arms 37a and 37b, and the device pivots about 40 to deposit the biscuits on conveyer 42.
