Abstract

1,199,217. Valves. ALLIS-CHALMERS MFG. CO. 23 Oct., 1968 [23 Oct., 1967], No. 50251/66. Heading F2V. A valve used to pass controlled amounts of water for power requirements, flood control, irrigation or to drain reservoirs or ponds has a cone 9 rigidly connected to the valve casing 5 by ribs 13 extending only partially across the valve cone and unconnected with each other. The ribs may be of arcuate or triangular crosssection and be welded to the interior or exterior surface of the casing. The closure member consists of a sleeve 14 adjusted by threaded rods 14, gears 18 and worm gears 19.
