Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent liquid at the incoming pipe side from mixing with that at the valve chest side by furnishing a cylindrical valve element to be fitted slidably in the cylinder-formed hollow part in the incoming pipe, which is installed intersecting with the flow on the valve chest side, and excavating a through hole which will face the drainage hole at the time of valve open and will open inside the valve chest at the time of valve open. CONSTITUTION:When the valve stem 8 retracts the external valve element 9, internal valve element 10 and pipe 12 move to the position shown by the dot-and-dash line in the illustration attached to put the inside of the valve chest 1 and the incoming pipe 2 in passing-by condition with the aid of a through hole 13 and, when the valve stem 8 proceeds, the external valve element 9 and internal valve element 10 are placed on the external 6 and internal 7 valve seats, as illustrated by solid line, and the pipe 12 is fitted in the hollow part 11 to put the incoming pipe 2 in closed condition. In case the valve elements 9, 10 are not closed perfectly, leak liquids from the valve element 9 and valve element 10 flow down individually at the inside surface of pipe 12 and through the through hole 13, respectively, to be exhausted from drainage hole 4. According to this arrangement, the liquid on the incoming pipe side 2 is never mixed with that on the valve chest side 1.
