Abstract

1,198,783. Transmission lines. SIEMENS A.G. 29 Nov., 1968 [30 Nov., 1967], No. 56677/68. Addition to 1,126,378. Heading H4R. In the time division multiplex telecommunications exchange system of Specification 1,126,378 the common transmission line has the branches leading to the time division switches connected in such a fashion as to provide substantially no change in cross-section of the common line at the junction. In a described embodiment, Fig. 3, the connection is made by forming a sphere 33 on the end of the branch 32 and soldering or welding the sphere to the line 31. Alternatively the branch line may be formed integrally with the common line.
