Abstract
1,198,302. Elastomer latex-dextrin compositions. UNIROYAL Inc. 24 Oct., 1967 [17 Nov., 1966], No. 48174/67. Headings C3P and C3Q. [Also in Division B2] A curable latex coating composition comprises a latex of an elastomeric polymer and a dextrin in certain proportions. The elastomers are suitably styrene-butadiene, natural, carboxylated styrene-butadiene, butyl, nitrile, carboxylated nitrile, neoprene or acrylate or methacrylate rubbers. The dextrin is suitably derived from tapioca, wheat, potato, corn or rice starch. Optional additional ingredients are a curable melamine-formaldehyde resin, glyoxal, ZnCl 2 , MgCl 2 , and NH 4 OH.
