A board game, comprising a board, Fig. 1, having a continuous playing path divided into playing areas marked thereon, a plurality of first sets of playing cards having markings thereon which refer to objects, all of the cards in each first set referring to notionally allied objects which may be bought and sold by the players during the playing of the game, a plurality of second sets of playing cards having markings thereon which indicate actions to be taken by the players during the playing of the game, all said playing cards in all sets being associated with at least one playing area and at least one of the said playing areas, marked M, having markings which indicate that one of the playing cards in the first sets in the possession of each player shall be auctioned among the other players. Each set of the first sets of cards represents one of eight different types of antiques, the sets being placed on the appropritate areas on the board, marked A to H, each card in any one set carrying a buying price and a selling price. The second sets of cards consist of two sets of cards referring to Bad Luck and Good Luck actions placed on the board at I and J respectively. A further single pack of cards associated with playing areas may be used, namely insurance cards placed at K, in which each card of the pack may be used, upon payment of a premium, specifically for insurance against loss by flood, fire or theft. Other areas on the playing path are associated with rewards, opportunities, hazards and compulsory business transactions between players. The area marked "Antique Expert" may be associated with a pack of question cards.
