Abstract

1,196,335. Adjustable feet for stands. SAREK A.S. 17 Nov., 1967 [27 April, 1967], No. 52456/67. Heading A4H. [Also in Divisions B3 and F2] A vibration absorbing support member for mounting machine tools comprises a top part 1, a resilient bottom part 4 and an intermediate pressure plate 5 to which the resilient part may be vulcanized. The pressure plate 5 has a peripheral flange 8 acting as a guide for a skirt portion 10 of the top part 1. The height of the bearing surface 2 of the support member is adjusted by a belt 7. Parts 12 of the resilient bottom part 4 may extend upwards into holes in the top part 1 to prevent relative rotation during adjustment, and screws 13 act as a limit stop to the adjustment. The pressure plate 5 and its peripheral flange 8 may either be circular and fit into a rectangular top part 1 or it may be also rectangular. Radial ribs (9) and 16 are provided (Fig. 2, not shown) on the top part 1 and pressure plate 5, and the guiding surface of the skirt 10 may be discontinuous because of machined out pockets (17). The top part 1 and pressure plate 5 may be made of a plastics material and the resilient part 4 may be stamped from sheet rubber.
