1,195,558. Nitro-fluorine compounds. NORTH AMERICAN ROCKWELL CORP. 25 Sept., 1967, No. 43601/67. Heading C2C. The invention comprises explosive compounds where n = 1 to 3, m = 0 to 3, R = -C(NO 2 )F, and R<SP>1</SP> = -C(NO 2 )F or -CF 3 (when m = 0), The nitramine compounds are prepared by reacting 2,2 - dinitro - 2 - fluoroethanol with an aliphatic amine of the formula which is thereafter nitrated to form the explosive compound. The ester compounds are prepared by reacting 2,2-dinitro-2-fluoroethanol with an aromatic or heterocyclic acid chloride.
