Abstract

1,194,685. Knitting-machines. SHIMA IDEA CENTRE CO. Ltd. 7 July, 1967 [9 July, 1966], No. 31484/67. Heading D1C. The needle bed of a flat machine is composed of a slotted base 3 within each part of which is contained a trick wall consisting of two outer plates 8 on either side of an inner plate 7, the inner plate 7 only having a head 6 adapted to engage over a separate verge edge 11 and all the plates being slotted at 7, 19 and 20 to accommodate positioning and securing bars 18 21, 22. The ends of the plates are shaped to receive a securing bar 13 which is screwed to the end of the base 3.
