Abstract

1,194,669. Suction lifting devices. VACULIFT MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. 23 April, 1969 [26 April, 1968], No. 20686/69. Addition to 1,129,348. Heading B8H. The vacuum lifting device of Specification 1,129,348 is provided with an improved sleeve for operating a valve switching cylinder 41 to which a valve plate 43 is attached. The sleeve has upper and lower gear rings 40a, 40b respectively, the upper ring having tooth gaps which are alternately deep and shallow. When the cylinder 41 is raised from the position shown a lower pin 42b abuts one of the lower teeth and turns the sleeve anti-clockwise. Subsequent lowering of the cylinder causes further rotation in the same direction when an upper pin 42a hits one of the upper teeth. Thus, the pin 42a comes to rest alternately in shallow and deep tooth gaps thereby alternately opening and closing the valve plate 43.
