Abstract

1,194,072. Endless conveyers. BIRMING- HAM SMALL ARMS CO. Ltd. 5 May, 1969 [14 May, 1968], No. 22787/68. Heading B8A. A conveyer comprises a frame 1 having a longitudinally extending trackway 2, an upper flange 4 partly overhanging the trackway, a lower flange 5 spaced from the upper flange, a belt comprising an endless assembly of slats 7, hingedly interconnected at adjacent sides, a roller 14 at either end of each slat adapted to engage the upper flange 4 of the trackway on the outward run of the belt, and the lower flange 5 on the return run, the rollers being carried by brackets 12 which are secured to the slats and which are such that as the belt moves, they are able to move with it longitudinally past the flanges forming the trackway. The brackets 12 are stiffened by welding plates 13 on to them. One end of each flange of the brackets 12 has an inwardly bent portion 16 in order to facilitate interengagement between the brackets during operation of the conveyer.
