Abstract

1,192,793. Agricultural implements. R. H. M. ROBINSON and K. G. W. ELLING- HAM. 15 March, 1968 [14 March, 1967], No. 12183/67. Heading A1B. A plough is mounted at its forward end upon a tractor and has, at its rearward end, a wheel 5 which may be steered by a double acting hydraulic ram 14 connected hydraulically to a double acting cylinder 21 located between the forward end of the plough and the tractor. When the tractor moves angularly relatively to the plough, the cylinder 21 generates a steering force in the ram 14. The system may be pressurized from a hydraulic accumulator 25 or through bleed and pressurizing nipples 18a and 18b. The wheel 5 may be raised for the working position of the plough and lowered for transport purposes by hydraulic rams.
